The essentials, from your first crown to your next puzzle.
How do I play?
Place exactly one crown in each row, column and colored region. Crowns cannot touch, even diagonally. Crowns farther apart may share a diagonal.
How do I mark the board?
Tap a square to add or remove an X. Double-tap or hold to place or remove a crown. Drag from an empty square to add X marks, or from one of your own X marks to erase them. Retrace your path without lifting your finger to undo that part of the stroke.
Undo reverses the whole stroke. Automatic X marks follow placed crowns and cannot be erased individually. You can turn automatic marks off in Settings.
Can I try the tutorial again?
Open the ••• menu, choose How to play, then Play tutorial. Replaying or skipping the lesson preserves your current puzzle and statistics.
How do hints work?
Tap Hint to see an explanation. Follow Next step and Back where shown. Outlines identify the relevant squares, shading explains exclusions, and the final target identifies the next move. A hint does not make moves for you.
Close the card with X or Hide hint. Opening the same hint again does not add to the hint count.
Where is my saved game?
Your progress is saved on this device. Reopen the app to continue. The app does not provide its own cloud sync or transfer games between devices. Device backups are managed separately by iOS and Apple.
How do I start or replay a puzzle?
Tap the board dimensions at the top to choose a size and difficulty. New and Next game remember your choices. The app asks before replacing a puzzle you have already started. After solving, Play again restarts that same puzzle.
How do I change the appearance?
Open ••• → Settings and choose Light, Dark or System. System follows your device's appearance. Sounds, haptics and automatic X marks can also be adjusted there.
How do I delete my progress?
Settings → Reset statistics deletes completed-game results while keeping the current puzzle. To remove all local app data, delete the app in iOS Settings. Offloading the app keeps its data. Existing backups are managed separately.
